4Description

Course aimed at systems administrators and engineers who wish to familiarize themselves with virtualization technology in general and with the Xen virtualization solution in particular.

All of the present technologies in virtualized environments will be covered: VLAN, network storage, high availability, etc.

The course participants will discover the various functions offered by Xen, the installation and configuration procedures for each one of them as well as the related complementary technologies.

This is an essentially practical course. Each student will be provided with a virtualizable laptop computer.

Graduated as a Computing Engineer from the Universidad Pontificia de Salamanca (Madrid). Specializing in Software Engineering.
Instructor and consultant at the training department of SUN, working in the areas of Solaris systems, networks and security. Linux server administration. C and Java programming.
Associate lecturer of the Electronics and Communication department at the Universidad Pontificia de Salamanca (Madrid). Teaches the Communication Laboratory (3rd year), Local Networks laboratory (4th year) and Computer Networks (4th year) subjects of the Computer Engineering degree.
Author of various publications and articles and speaker at various systems and network security seminars.
